After completing the set-up process and before the official start of participation registration, it is advisable to check the answers again: Although questions and answers are generated when working in the offer wizard, they cannot be deleted from there. Only links are deleted in the offer wizard.
All answers that are automatically generated when creating quotation packages are not updated when changes are made in the quotation wizard. Even if indirectly linked answers in questions are subsequently edited, renamed or deleted, it can happen that elements in the answer overview are no longer linked/needed.
In order to keep an overview of the list of all answers, questions and, above all, answers should be “tidied up” at the end of the setup.
As soon as registration has started and bookings are received in the system, it should be noted that changes to answers and their links can have a direct impact on existing bookings. Deleting a link between an offer package, question and answer can result in the selected answer option no longer being displayed in a booking.
Under certain circumstances, offers/responses may be created in the offer wizard without a name. In these cases, you should check whether a link exists.
No link: Deletion of the answer recommended - it can no longer be assigned.
Link to question (indirect): Look in the offer wizard or the question to see which answer it could be and add the name.
Link to offer package (direct): The answer hangs as a counter in one/several offers in the extended package configuration. The name should correspond to the linked offer.
There are two similar answers in Fig. 1, point 2. Only one of them is required. Here you should check whether both answers are linked:
Yes: Check whether both links make sense and adjust them if necessary.
No: Delete the unlinked answer if necessary.
In Fig. 1, point 3, there is an answer without a link. This may have been removed as an answer option from a question or the associated offer package may have been deleted in the offer wizard.
You should check whether the answer is still required and should actually be linked directly or indirectly. For example, has another answer with the same content been linked to the suspected position in the meantime? Then this one is obsolete and can be deleted.
Links can be added if necessary.
Answers can only be deleted as long as they are not already linked as a booking option in a (canceled test) booking. In this case, it is advisable to add a prefix to the response, e.g. “ZZZ”, so that it is moved to the end of the response overview, recognized as obsolete and does not interfere.
