# Send link for password reset
If participants have forgotten their password, it is possible to send a password reset link via the backend. The link is sent via the email module. The password reset link is sent to the participant's registered email address to ensure that the password recovery process is secure and controlled.

## Send link
1. *Create a new email* and use the Replacement *link Request password*
2. *Add recipients* and search for and add affected persons in the person browser
3. *Save start time for sending emails*

The email for resetting the password can also be sent to several people at the same time in order to offer a larger group an uncomplicated way to set or reset the password.

## Steps for recipients
1. Open password reset link - The password reset page opens
2. Enter the email address in the form field and *request a password (Fig. 3) -* Another email with a personal link is generated and sent (Fig. 4). **This link is only valid for 30 minutes!**
3. Enter new password and confirm (Fig. 5)
