If an event is free of charge and does not contain any additional chargeable offers, it is not necessary for attendees to be sent invoices. In this case, invoices can be suppressed for the frontend.
This deactivation is done in the invoice configuration via Hide invoice in frontend: Yes (Fig. 1).
If invoices are hidden in the frontend, this has the following effects on the event:
The person making the booking will not receive an invoice in the last step of the registration process and will also not be able to retrieve it in the C3 - document archive (Fig. 2).
No automatic invoice e-mail will be sent after the booking has been completed.
The invoice info mail only contains a link to the booking confirmation, not to the invoice. The text of the invoice info mail should be checked before sending, if necessary.
Invoices can only be deactivated completely in the frontend for attendees. The invoice function in the backend is still active; however, this area can theoretically be ignored.
If invoice links are called up, the message "This invoice document is blocked" is displayed. You have to be logged into the backend at the same time - only then the invoice document can be viewed .
If the deactivation of the invoice is reversed in the frontend (Hide invoice in frontend: No), all persons logged in up to this point can also call up invoices at a later date. However, no automatic emails will be sent subsequently.
Cancellation and processing fees may also be charged for free events if necessary. In this case, you should not work with hidden invoices. To ensure that no invoices are sent to participants, which do not contain a booked offer, make sure that Offer packages with price 0: Show is selected in the invoice configuration (Fig. 3).
