Deposit total contingents across all offers

Configuration -> Attendee Registration -> Offer wizard -> Extended configuration -> Extended package configuration

Sometimes it is necessary to store a contingent that includes several offers. As an answer can be directly linked in several packages and a package can also be directly linked to several answers, this is possible without any problems.

Case studies

A) Scenario: Total number of attendees limited

The total number of bookings for a conference is limited to 1000 persons and therefore complete conference tickets, day tickets and special offers together may not exceed 1000 bookings.

Solution:

An answer ‘Participation complete’ is created and assigned the contingent 1000. The answer is then linked in all offer packages that are included in the ‘Conference participation’ category. As soon as the contingent is used up, none of the packages can be booked.

B) Scenario: Reduced discounted contingent within a total contingent

There are 500 places available for an evening event, of which a maximum of 150 can be booked at a discount by students.

Solution:

Two offer packages are created, e.g. ‘Conference Dinner’ and ‘Conference Dinner (Students)’. The answers are linked as follows in the extended package configuration:

Offer package ‘Conference Dinner’

  • Directly linked answer: ‘Conference Dinner’ (500)

Offer package ‘Conference dinner (students)’

  • Directly linked answer: ‘Conference dinner (students)’ (150)

  • Directly linked answer: ‘Conference Dinner’ (500)

The offer for students can no longer be booked as soon as the lowest contingent is exhausted.

In the answer management, you can then check which answers are linked across all offers and whether all necessary offer packages have been taken into account (Fig. 2).
