Additional settings for the price groups can be made here. The order of the price groups can be adjusted using the blue three-bar icon via drag & drop or further settings can be made (Fig. 2).

Various adjustments can be made via the advanced configuration.

  1. Name and description

  • An internal/external name and an internal/external description can be defined here. The external name for the frontend must be entered for each language for multilingual events.

  • If only the internal name is filled in, this will be used for the frontend in all active languages.

  1. Rule type

  • The rule type should be Normal by default. Payment for internal employees is a special case that is only used very rarely. Converia Support will be happy to help with any questions.

  1. Link

  • Double-click in the grayed-out Link field to copy a direct link to the participation registration in which this price group is already preselected.

  • Attention: The link can only be called up without errors if the price group is active and visible!

  1. Subject to verification

  1. Actual default

  • Actual default can be used to set that the price group is preselected for each new registration. The price group can still be changed, but the mandatory selection of the participation type at the start of the registration process is no longer required.

  1. Active

  • Every price group that is to be available for bookings (regardless of whether in the backend and/or frontend) must be active.

  • As deleting the price groups can lead to problems, we advise against doing so and instead recommend deactivating the price group at this point.

  1. Visible

  • The visibility in the frontend can be configured here.

  1. Do not display in step 1 of the registration

  • This means that the price group is not displayed in the selection of participation types.

  • However, if offers are available for this price group, they will be displayed to all other price groups during the rest of the registration process. This configuration is suitable, for example, for accompanying persons who should not be able to register themselves, but for whom other people are allowed to book offers.

  • This function should not be used to hide price groups that are only accessible to a certain group of people. This can have unintended effects in the offer overview. In this case, hidden price groups should be used in combination with voucher codes.

  1. E-mail attachments

Special case: Cancellation price group

If offers are edited in the extended package configuration, it is noticeable that there is still a price group called Cancellation (Fig. 3). This is a system-relevant price group that is mandatory and cannot be deleted. The price group is necessary, among other things, if cancellation fees are to be charged for individual booking options without canceling the participant's entire booking.
