Charge a handling fee and show it on the invoice

Unlike the booking itself or the invoice, no automatic cancellation fees can be applied at the booking option level. More about the processing and cancellation levels.

Create a handling fee offer package

If a handling fee for booking options is to be charged, a corresponding offer package must be created:

  • Offer packages are created in the offer wizard. More information here.

  • If required, a separate category is created, here e.g. “Other”.

  • Price out all registration periods and price groups with the processing fee.

  • To prevent the handlig fee from appearing as a bookable offer in the frontend, the offer package must be hidden for the frontend under Extended configuration -> Extended package configuration. Select the corresponding offer category on the left-hand side and call up the package using the edit pencil:

  • About halfway up, select the Show in backend only checkbox and save at the bottom:

Charge Handling fee

The desired changes can then be made to the booking. In addition, the processing fee can now be selected from the offers and added via Add booking option.

  • Finally, the invoice must be updated, only then is the editing process completed and a new invoice document created.

  • The comment function can be used to document changes or deviations for other editors in the backend.

  • No automatic emails are triggered when edits are made in the backend. If required, the participants can be informed via booking info mail (sent to the person who booked in, tab in the booking details) or invoice info mail (sent to the invoice recipient, tab in the invoice details).

Additional payment required?

Inform the person about this from the system - you can find more information here.
