There are various places in Converia where personal data such as the address is requested. Some configuration options for these forms must be made on a module-wide basis during setup. These include the following settings:
The country is usually a mandatory entry and the country list contains 252 entries. To make it easier for people to enter data, it is possible to define a preselection for the form (Fig. 1, point 1). This setting is useful if a large proportion of the expected attendees come from a particular country.
The mandatory privacy policy checkbox can be shown and hidden centrally here (Fig. 1, point 2). The chapter on mandatory information explains in more detail how to link the text correctly.
The automatic email address check (Fig. 1, point 3) is used during the registration process to check whether the email address that a person enters in the front-end form already exists in the system. This serves to avoid duplicates.
This comparison is carried out cross-conference by default, but can also be restricted to the respective conference at this point. The check cannot be deactivated.
If an email address is recognized, an overlay appears asking the person whether they would like to log in with the existing account or continue without logging in (Fig. 4).
Another function to make it easier for people to enter information in the forms is the company suggestions from existing personal datasets in the system (Fig. 1, point 4).
This is a selection list in the Company/Institution field that appears as soon as at least 3 characters have been entered (Fig. 5).
This comparison is also carried out cross-conference by default. However, you can also restrict it to your conference at this point. The suggestions cannot be deactivated.
